If you experience sudden pain or break a tooth, you can always get an emergency appointment with us. There is no need to suffer in silence — call us and we will find a time the same day when it is urgent.
Why time matters
Severe toothache is often caused by inflammation around the nerve, and a dental injury needs to be assessed promptly. The sooner you act on the first signs, the better the prospects are for saving the tooth. Time is your ally here.
While you wait
While waiting for your appointment, you can manage the pain with an over-the-counter painkiller — follow the instructions on the packaging, and ask at the pharmacy or contact us if you are unsure. Gently rinsing with lukewarm water can help, and try to rest the affected tooth as much as possible.
After an extraction
If you experience unusually intense pain a few days after a tooth has been extracted, it may be due to an irritated tooth socket. This is not dangerous, but it does need to be treated so it heals properly. Call us and we will put together a plan and get you back on track.
