When a wisdom tooth causes trouble, we can remove it calmly — and most people find it far less daunting than they expected.

Wisdom teeth are the rearmost molars and the last to emerge — typically around the age of twenty. Not everyone gets them, and they do not always come through as they should. When a wisdom tooth causes problems, the calmest solution is often to have it removed.
When removal is recommended
We recommend removing a wisdom tooth when it causes recurring inflammation, pain, or gum pockets, when it is damaging a neighbouring tooth, or when there is insufficient space for it to erupt properly. If it is well positioned and causing no harm, there is no reason to disturb it.
A calm and straightforward procedure
If the tooth has fully erupted and is sitting normally, we can often extract it simply. If it is angled or partially beneath the gum, we carry out a minor surgical procedure. Both are performed under local anaesthetic. Most patients experience only mild soreness afterwards — and we send you home with clear aftercare guidance so that healing proceeds smoothly.
Questions & answers
FAQ
Do all wisdom teeth need to be removed?
No. If they are well positioned and causing no harm, we leave them alone. We remove them when they cause inflammation, pain, or damage to neighbouring teeth.
Is it painful to have a wisdom tooth removed?
The procedure is carried out under local anaesthetic, and most patients experience only mild soreness afterwards when they follow our advice. Actual pain is rare.
