Two approaches

• Fixed braces move teeth precisely and are used when more significant corrections are needed.
• Clear aligners — such as Invisalign — are a nearly invisible alternative for smaller adjustments. You remove them when eating and brushing, and swap to a new aligner at regular intervals.

For children and adults

Part of orthodontic treatment for children takes place through the municipal dental service. As an adult, you can also have your teeth corrected — some people choose this for cosmetic reasons, others because a misaligned bite causes wear or makes it difficult to keep teeth clean.
